The Society for Acute Medicine (SAM) and the Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine (FPM) will co-host a joint one-day conference, The Acute Medical Take: Tackling Difficult Cases. This focused conference brings together leading clinicians to address complex challenges in acute medical care across four key specialties: cardiology, neurology, respiratory, and toxicology. The programme features expert-led, case-based sessions on pressing topics such as cardiovascular emergencies in pregnancy, decision-making in head injury, acute respiratory failure, and substance misuse in the acute setting. Attendees will benefit from high-level clinical insights, practical decision-making guidance, and opportunities to engage with experts and peers.
